3Arrested for embezzling money in the name of cryptocurrency

“Through a mobile app called 'Ultima Farm' one can buy electronic or digital money cryptocurrencies investing a large amount of money. Then s/he can earn dollars without any effort. It is possible to earn extra dollars by referring someone to it.”

This is the story for tempting people and embezzling millions of taka from many people in Chapainawabganj by a fraudulent gang for a long time. Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 has said that three persons including the mastermind of the gang have been arrested. 

They were arrested from Alauddin Hotel and Restaurant at Udayan Mor in Chapainawabganj District on Monday (May 15). 

RAB-5, CPC-1 Chapainawabganj camp has given this information in a press release sent to the media.

The arrested persons are - Md. Aliul Azim (35), son of Bablu Akhter of Swarupnagar area of ​​the district city; Shamsuddin (25), son of Rakibul Islam Tawfiq of Gomstapur upazila of old Prasadpur village and Arif Hossain (25), son of Bablu Ali of Colony Dainpara Mohalla of the same upazila. Among them, RAB claimed that Azim was the mastermind behind the ring of illegal cryptocurrency transactions and fraud through mobile app Ultima Farm.

A case has been filed at Gomstapur police station in this connection.
